This page provides a language pack for Burmese (Myanmar), for Mozilla Firefox 3.6.x.
In order to use,
Please verify that you have Firefox 3.6. Start Mozilla Firefox and locate Help→About Mozilla Firefox. The dialog box shows your version of Mozilla Firefox. You can download the latest version of Mozilla Firefox from www.mozilla.com.
Click on Firefox 3.6 Burmese (Myanmar) [my-MM] langpack. Firefox will ask you whether to allow the installation of add-ons from this website. Click to Allow and follow the steps to install the language pack.
Next we need an add-on that allows to enable the Burmese language pack. Click on Tools→Add-ons→Get Add-ons and search for locale switcher. From the list of results, select Locale Switcher and click to Add to Firefox.... Then, click to restart Firefox. Although another add-on, the Quick Locale Switcher performs the same task, it is more difficult to use and we do not recommend it.
In order to enable the new language pack, click on Tools→Languages and select the Burmese language. Finally, restart Mozilla Firefox. The new Firefox interface should appear in Burmese.
You can switch back in Firefox to other installed languages by clicking on Tools→Languages and selecting the appropriate language. In this way you can revert back to the English version of your Firefox.
These instructions work for Mozilla Firefox 3.6.x on Windows. For Linux and Mac you need to to either
Change the system locale to the Burmese language (if available), thus the Burmese Firefox appears by default
Or visit the URL about:config (you type this in the Location bar and click Enter). Then, search for intl.locale.matchOS. Change the value from true to false. Finally, restart Mozilla Firefox.
As with any translation, there is always room for improvement. Please provide constructive feedback to PLACEHOLDER.
